John 8:7
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone;
Well many stones had been cast, and cast as though it was a sacrilegious homage rather than a scolding or temporary punishment to a young man who had committed an egregious act, and egregious yes it was.
Never the less. as Muhamad Ali once said, "I run until I get tired, and then I start running". Chris Brown didn't quite run, but he surely danced, and sung his way back into the heart of America. One listener at a time, and people listened to his atonement pleas.
It was clear he was, and has been the peoples champ silently. Yes we can carnivorous, and cannibalistic in the way we devour our own at times, but yet still and all. We are people who love to see the come back kid prevail. “I was kind of rooting for him. I know how controversial he is, was, and still is and if anyone has reason to be questionable about Chris, it was on our show three years ago all that happened," said Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the Grammys said Monday on CBS This Morning.
“I just believe people deserve a second chance. The year he had this year, really brought him back into the public. He really deserved a second chance.”
Well, The come back kid has come back. Chris Brown won over the crowd with his glow-in-the-dark performance of "Turn Up the Music" from his upcoming album and "Beautiful People" from 2011's "F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies)", and accepted the award for best R&B album for "F.A.M.E."
In the end we wonder if it was only Chris Brown who had something to learn from his mistake, or did we all learn some form of humanism.
